SUBSTANCE: in general, the invention relates to packaging, to designs of caps and lids for closing bottles with rings around the neck and other containers for various liquids, spreadables, bulk materials, etc., and more specifically to a device for capping a container with a neck ring. The invention is based on the task of creating a new and technologically advanced device for capping a container with a neck ring, the design of which would provide visual control of opening the container under the action of a reasonable effort on the part of the user. This problem is solved in a device for capping a container with a neck ring containing a housing mounted on the neck ring before its first opening, having a circular horizontal wall from which an annular vertical wall extends downwards, and a ring for opening the container attached from below to the annular vertical wall of the housing with the formation of a detachable mechanical connection containing an annular groove made in the annular vertical wall of the housing from its lower end surface, the first annular protrusion, made on the opening control ring of the bottle from its upper end surface and located in the specified annular groove, while the surfaces of this first annular protrusion are in contact with the surfaces of the said annular groove, resulting in friction forces in the area of the mating surfaces of the annular vertical wall of the housing and the opening control ring of the container, and the second annular protrusion made on the opening control ring of the container from its upper end surface, inclined to the neck ring of the container and designed to rest on an annular protrusion on the outer vertical surface of the corolla of the container.
