SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to packaging, specifically to a cap designed to be fixed on the outer periphery of the neck or wall of the drain opening of a vessel (bottle) for storing liquid, and even more specifically to a polymer capsule for a bottle. According to the invention, the polymer capsule contains, before the first opening of the bottle, a body (1) made of a polymer material and a U-shaped lid (2) mounted on the body. The U-shaped lid has a round horizontal wall, from which an annular vertical wall extends downwards, containing an inward-facing ledge for positioning the U-shaped lid relative to the body and a recess adjacent to the ledge. The body (1), made in the form of a single part, contains a T-shaped stopper (10) inserted into the corolla of the bottle, having an essentially cylindrical sealing element (11) with sealing ring-shaped ribs (12), made on the outer surface of the cylindrical sealing element, an annular horizontal wall adjacent to the cylindrical sealing element (11) above the sealing ring-shaped ribs (12), an annular vertical wall adjacent to the annular horizontal wall, in which the recess is made, in which the ledge of the U-shaped cover is inserted for positioning the U-shaped cover relative to the body.
