FIELD: engines.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in fuel supply systems of internal combustion engines (ICE). The proposed gas fuel mixing system for internal combustion engines combines two or more gas flows to produce a mixed gas fuel exhibiting a suitable calorific value (CV) for a specific engine. A gas with a relatively high CV, e.g., a gas extracted from a petroleum and/or gas borehole, or propane in tanks, is mixed with a gas with a relatively low CV, e.g., nitrogen or air. The mixed gas provides a gas fuel with a suitable CV. Suitable means are provided for combining gas flows, analysing the mixed gas flow for CV and other characteristics, and for regulating the mixture, if necessary.
EFFECT: system provides a possibility of applying the available sources of gas fuel, even if said sources are not suitable in a non-mixed state, to effectively provide internal combustion engines with fuel.
