SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for manufacturing panels with a decorative surface, in which mentioned panels (7) contain at least base (8) and upper layer (9), in which mentioned upper layer (9) contains paper layer (2) with a printed image, and in which the mentioned method contains at least stage (S1) of providing mentioned paper layer (2) with thermosetting resin (3) and a stage of providing on mentioned paper layer (2) provided with resin at least part of the mentioned printed image. To provide the mentioned part of the mentioned printed image, pigment-containing paints are used, applied to mentioned paper layer (2) using digital inkjet printer (18). Dry residue of the total volume of the mentioned pigment-containing paints applied to the mentioned paper layer is less than 9 grams per square meter. As the mentioned pigment-containing paint, a water-based paint is used.
EFFECT: invention makes possible the industrial and reliable use of a paper layer printed by the digital technology in the production of layered panels.
