FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of determining oil and mechanical particles in produced water. Described is a method for determining content of oil and mechanical particles in bottom water, providing for emulsification of the analysed sample, irradiating it with radiation in the spectral range from 0.4 to 1.2 mcm, wherein the irradiation is carried out with highly monochromatic laser radiation, the sample is pumped through the measuring cuvette at a rate greater than 0.5 cm/s, the optical density of the light flux passed through the cuvette and the intensity of the backscattered radiation are recorded, wherein content of oil and mechanical impurities is determined through recorded signals.
EFFECT: increased accuracy of measurement of oil and mechanical particles in produced water.
