FIELD: veterinary science.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to veterinary science, namely to veterinary hepatology, and can be used to predict the severity of acute bacterial cholangiohepatitis in cats. For this purpose, erythrocyte sedimentation rate, blood serum activity of asparagine aminotransferase, alkaline phosphatase, gamma-glutamyl transpeptidase, and the probability (y) of developing complications is calculated by the developed formula. If y≤1.9, a mild course of the pathology is stated, with value of 2.0 to 3.9, a moderate degree of severity is stated, and if y≥4.0, a severe clinical course is stated.
EFFECT: invention enables to reliably predict the severity of the given pathology in cats by taking into account indices of independent predictors of the pathological process for timely prescription of therapy.
