SUBSTANCE: volumetric pump contains a device for clamping a pipe and a pump case, with which a flap or a door is pivotally connected to close a receiving chamber for a flexible pipe. In the receiving chamber, there is a clamp for the pipe, made with the possibility of releasing the pipe inserted into it, when the flap or the door is closed, and clamping the pipe to ensure clogging, when the flap or the door is opened. The clamp for the pipe includes a clamping arm supported with the possibility of movement on the pump case and compressed by a spring in the direction of compression. The clamping arm in one section forms a clamping surface interacting with a clamping cheek fixed to the pump case, and in the other section forms an engagement surface, along which, during the closing operation, a protrusion provided on the flap or the door slides, so that, accordingly, a displacement force is applied to the clamping arm, counteracting the spring compression. A method for flow control through the pipe is disclosed.

EFFECT: eliminating free flow through the pipe and thus ensuring increased patient safety.
