FIELD: smoking devices.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an apparatus for heating, but not burning tobacco in order to create an aerosol, capable of creating an aerosol from a moistened tobacco product with high viscosity at a very low temperature. The apparatus comprises a disposable tobacco delivery unit, including a bowl with walls configured to be deformed inward under the impact of negative pressure applied by the user on inhaling. The bowl therein comprises a moistened tobacco product containing glycerin at least 65 to 80% wt., water at least 5 to 20% wt., and tobacco at least 15 to 30% wt., wherein a heating element is additionally located at least partially in the bowl, surrounded by the moistened tobacco product and contacting therewith. The apparatus also comprises a main unit adapted to receive the delivery unit and including a controller configured to supply current to the heating element. The apparatus is therein configured to create an aerosol from a moistened tobacco product and create an aerosol from a separate liquid portion of a moistened tobacco product due to boiling thereof on contact with the heating element.

EFFECT: invention provides a possibility of reducing hazardous and potentially hazardous carcinogenic HPHC emissions by six or more times compared to conventional articles capable of heating, but not burning tobacco, wherein the taste and experience of use are simultaneously significantly improved.
