FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method of producing aluminium oxide-based supports for catalysts for oil refining processes. Method involves plasticization of the mixture when mixed with a liquid-phase peptizing agent to obtain a solid-like plastic paste, extrusion of the paste into granules, drying the granules and thermal treatment of the granules. At that, initial powder raw material components of the charge are preliminarily dispersed, which includes aluminium hydroxides of pseudoboehmite, or bayerite-boehmite, or boehmite phase compositions, after which they are dry mixed with an additive which affects the structure of the carrier. Additive is aluminosilicate, silicon oxide, zirconium oxide, carbamide, methylcellulose, ammonium carbonate or ammonium bicarbonate with grain size from 5 to 50 mcm or an additive which affects the structure of the support, which is graphite or γ-Al2O3, with grain size from 5 to 315 mcm in amount from 5 to 65 wt. %, then a liquid-phase peptizing agent is added, the obtained paste is extruded through a die of a complex profile with diameter of 1.0 to 5.0 mm, then the granules are dried for at least 24 hours at temperature of 15 to 30 °C, and subsequent heat treatment of granules is carried out at temperature from 550 to 1150 °C for 3 to 5 hours to obtain a carrier in form of granules.

EFFECT: disclosed method enables to obtain a carrier with a developed porous structure and acid-base centres, high specific surface area, total pore volume and high strength characteristics.
