FIELD: image processing.
SUBSTANCE: first encoding block has a block size of SA samples by N samples. Second encoding block has a block size of SB samples by M samples. Decoding comprises filtration containing the stages wherein the values of no more than MA samples of the first encoding block are modified as output values of the first filter, wherein no more than MA samples are located in the row perpendicular to and adjacent to the edge of the block. The values of no more than MB samples of the second encoding block are modified as output values of the second filter, wherein no more than MB samples are located in the row perpendicular to and adjacent to the edge of the block, wherein MA≠MB. The values of no more than IA samples of the first encoding block are used as the input values of the first filter to compute the output values of the first filter and/or the output values of the second filter, wherein no more than IA samples are located in the row perpendicular to and adjacent to the edge of the block.
EFFECT: increase in the efficiency of removal of blocking due to the ensured flexible parallelisation of processing of asymmetric filtration for both edges of the blocks.
