FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method for the topical treatment of eosinophilic esophagitis (hereinafter – EoE) in a patient who needs it with an orally disintegrating pharmaceutical composition containing oral corticosteroid includes the injection of the pharmaceutical composition, when the patient is in a lying position or within 5 minutes before the patient takes the lying position, while the therapeutically effective amount of oral corticosteroid contacts with esophagus, thereby performing the topical treatment of EoE.
EFFECT: invention provides for the effect of increasing clearance of eosinophils in the distal esophagus, while maintaining high clearance of eosinophils in the proximal esophagus.
