FIELD: welding.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for electron beam welding of thin-walled tubular parts. Welding of tubular parts is performed in their horizontal arrangement. The outer tubular part and the inner tubular part are overlapped with a gap of not more than 0.5 mm. The electron beam is directed to the outer surface of the outer tubular part. The beam is displaced from the end face of the part by an amount equal to the wall thickness of the part. Electron beam welding is carried out in a pulsed mode with overlapping welded points, and the melting of the inner tubular part is carried out to a depth of 15 to 70% of its thickness.
EFFECT: expanding the technological capabilities of overlapping thin-walled tubular parts with a thickness of the welded walls from 1 to 5 mm and from 0.4 to 5 mm and improving the quality of welded seams by eliminating external defects (undercuts, burn-throughs, sagging).
