FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measurement equipment. Sensor of the multichannel geometry tool is installed on the measuring mechanical lever of the multichannel geometry tool and represents a device for measuring linear deviation of the mechanical lever. In addition to the sensor, which measures the angular position of the rotating axis of the mechanical lever, it comprises the device for conversion of the signal of the angular position of the rotating axis of the mechanical lever into linear movement of the contact spot of the mechanical lever with the wall of the main pipeline depending on the specified basic value. Parameters of the signal conversion characteristic are included in a nonvolatile data storage device built into the sensor of the multichannel geometry tool. Signal conversion characteristic parameters are recorded through a bidirectional device for recording and storing data in real time, which is installed on a multichannel profiler.
EFFECT: higher quality and shorter time for in-line diagnostics.
