The minimum diameter of the gap and the average photosensitivity of the macular region of the retina are determined. After determining the minimum diameter of the gap and the average photosensitivity of the macular region of the retina during the diagnostic examination of patients with idiopathic macular ruptures, the parameter of the result of the performed operation is calculated in the form of the predicted maximum corrected visual acuity after performing the surgical treatment of idiopathic macular rupture according to the formula. When obtaining the results of the predicted maximum corrected visual acuity after performing surgical treatment of less than 0.05, these operations are considered to be ineffective.

EFFECT: method allows at the preoperative stage to assess the effectiveness of future surgery and select patients for surgical treatment based on predicting the maximum corrected visual acuity after surgical treatment of idiopathic macular rupture.
