FIELD: medicine; veterinary science.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine and veterinary medicine, namely to experimental biology, toxicology, and can be used to study formation and progression of liver changes caused by toxic-chemical damaging factors. Method for simulating fatty liver disease involves exposure to a toxic agent which is orally administered to male rats with a syringe. Toxic agent used is strontium sulphate (SrSO4), which is administered once in the form of a suspension consisting of 5 g of strontium sulphate (SrSO4) and 5 ml of water for injections.
EFFECT: invention provides an easily reproducible and shorter time method for simulating fatty liver disease.
