FIELD: radar technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radar technology and can serve as a marker reflector when solving navigation problems with passive beacons, as well as a calibration reflector when calibrating polarizing radars. The speed of switching modes for controlling the polarization properties of the reflector is limited by the speed of switching microwave diodes. A radar reflector is proposed, which is a two-channel antenna for full polarization reception of signal transmission, which includes four Y-circulators, six switching microwave diodes, two sections of a waveguide line shorted on one side, and a control device. The control device has a built-in autonomous power source and receives a digital code of the reflector operation mode via an external communication line.
EFFECT: electrical control of the polarization properties that making it possible to simulate the scattering properties of two- and three-sided corner reflectors and non-reciprocal radar objects by unlocking and locking switching microwave diodes.
