FIELD: gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to gas industry and can be used in transportation of gaseous energy carriers over long distances. Methane-hydrogen mixture with hydrogen content of not less than 70 % is transported via pipeline. At each gas transfer station, a partial hydrogen flow with purity of not less than 98 vol% is extracted by means of a polymer membrane module. This flow is fed for combustion into a gas turbine of a gas pumping station. Prior to extraction of hydrogen, methane-hydrogen mixture is subjected to compression to pressure value required and sufficient for compliance with specified conditions of transportation before next extraction of hydrogen. Value of partial extraction of hydrogen at each gas pumping station is selected based on the condition of providing at the end of the pipeline hydrogen content in the mixture of not less than 70.0 %. At the final gas compressor station, the methane-hydrogen mixture is compressed in two stages with addition of pentane to the methane-hydrogen mixture before the second stage. At the end of the compression process, pentane is removed from the methane-hydrogen mixture, which is sent to the main pipeline.
EFFECT: optimized amount of extracted hydrogen at each gas compressor station and distance between compression points.
