FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine and can be used in neurology, sports medicine, restorative medicine for an objective assessment of the effectiveness of the therapeutic course in the patients with functional disorders of the musculoskeletal system. Functional state of muscles is assessed by means of software-hardware complex "Computer force plate with biofeedback "Stabilan 01-02", which consists of force plate and recording device. Alternately, first for the left, then for the right leg, for this the patient is seated on a chair from the back side of the force plate so that both feet are placed on the force plate. Further, the core muscles, hip extensors, shin and foot are examined in a sitting position with angle of 90 degrees in the hip, knee and ankle joints. Then the mode "Isometric contraction of leg muscles" is started, for this purpose, during the test, the patient, when the message "Left leg" appears in the window of the device, presses the force plate as much as possible with the left foot and maintains pressure on it for 30 s. After completion of recording of the first stage, a similar measurement is carried out for the right leg when the message "Right leg" appears in the window of the device. Measurement data record muscular forces for both legs, measured in kilograms in the form of ballistogram. Then, on the ballistogram, the maximum muscular force applied by the person being tested is marked, and a power parameter is determined: the maximum muscular force of the foot in kilograms when performing a static load for 30 s, further, absolute values of power parameters are used to calculate relative muscle strength index (RSI).
EFFECT: method provides higher accuracy of estimating muscle strength of lower extremities.
