SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the treatment of alcohol dependence. The method for treating the subject of alcohol dependence includes the injection of an intranasal composition containing from 1% wt./vol. to 16% wt./vol. of naltrexone or its pharmacologically acceptable salt and from 0.05% wt./vol. to 2.5% wt./vol. of alkyl saccharide. A pharmaceutical composition for intranasal injection for the treatment of alcohol dependence and a multi-dose device are also disclosed.
