FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method of producing rigid polyurethane or urethane-modified polyisocyanurate foams, rigid polyurethane or urethane-modified polyisocyanurate foam and a reaction system for producing rigid polyurethane or urethane-modified polyisocyanurate foam. Said method involves obtaining rigid polyurethane or urethane-modified polyisocyanurate foams from polyisocyanates and polyfunctional isocyanate-active compounds in the presence of foaming agents. Polyfunctional isocyanate-active compounds include unmodified or modified novolac polyol and polyether polyol, having a hydroxyl number in range of 50 and 650 mg KOH/g, obtained by reacting a polyfunctional initiator first with ethylene oxide and then with propylene oxide, where the degree of propoxylation is in range between 0.33 and 2 moles of propylene oxide per active hydrogen atom in the initiator and where the molar ratio of ethylene oxide to propylene oxide in said polyether polyol is at least 2.

EFFECT: obtained polyisocyanurate foams have fast curing, while maintaining good fire-resistance characteristics.
