The method for determining the terminal’s affiliation to a shopping center contains the stages at which: from a database with the addresses of the shopping center locations, the shopping center is selected in which it is necessary to determine the affiliation of terminals and terminals whose affiliation is determined; the permissible time range of a paired transaction is calculated for each selected terminal, with an indefinite terminal; identifying for each selected terminal paired transactions with an indefinite terminal made within an acceptable time range; filtering paired transactions by MCC codes; excluding paired transactions made without a sign of the physical presence of the buyer in the shopping center at the time of its commission; assigning a weight to each paired transaction; summing the weights of paired transactions for each indefinite terminal; setting a threshold value for each indefinite terminal; determining whether the terminal belongs to the shopping center based on the terminal reaching a specified threshold value.
