SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of determining the density of tourist traffic. Computer-implemented method for processing financial transactions to determine the amount of individuals making a transaction outside of the home geographical area, in a predetermined geographical area, includes stages of obtaining the financial transaction data from at least one individual and determining the geographical attribution of each transaction to at least one geographical area, determining the home geographical area of at least one individual, determining at least one individual in the predetermined geographical area making at least one transaction not geographically attributed to the home geographical area, and attributing them to the tourist traffic, determining the amount of individuals making a transaction outside of the home geographical area for the predetermined geographical area.
EFFECT: increase in the accuracy of determining the amount of individuals making a transaction outside of the home geographical area, in a geographical area.
