FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a rubber mixture for oil-swelling sealing elements. The rubber mixture includes 100.0 wt.pt. of ethylene propylene-diene triple (EPDM) synthetic rubber with a 10% content of ethylidennonbornene links, 60.0, 70.0, 80.0-100.0 wt.pt. of carbon black, 1.2-1.5 wt.pt. of ground sulfur, 1.0-1.1 wt.pt. of vulcanization accelerator of the thiuram group, 0.5-0.8 wt.pt. of vulcanization accelerator of the thiazole group, 6.0-8.0 wt.pt. of vulcanization activators, and 40.0-50.0 wt.pt. of a plasticizer.
EFFECT: resulting rubber mixture provides high tensile strength, high conditional stress at 300% elongation, relatively low volume swelling rate for 72 h, which allows oil-swelling sealing elements to maintain their operational properties for a long time.
