METHOD FOR PREDICTION OF COMORBID COURSE OF AFFECTIVE DISORDERS AND ALCOHOLISM BASED ON DETERMINATION OF BLOOD SERUM PROTEINS Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC A61B5/1468 G01N33/48

Abstract RU 2767699 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to psychiatry and addictology, and can be used for prediction of a comorbid course of affective disorders and alcoholism. That is ensured by assessing the content of neurospecific proteins in blood serum: concentration of protein S-100, glial fibrillar acidic protein (GFAP) and neuron-specific enolase (NSE). If the S-100 content is higher than 35.17 pg/ml and the GFAP content is higher than 0.34 ng/ml and the NSE content is lower than 4.27 mcg/l, a comorbid course of affective disorder and alcohol dependence is predicted.

EFFECT: invention provides well-timed rehabilitation psychotherapeutic and pharmacological measures in the given category of patients due to detection of signs of neuronal and glial distress.
