FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to processing of pulverized coal. Method of producing carbon-containing briquettes from non-caking coal includes grinding non-caking coal, mixing it with a binder, briquetting and subsequent carbonization of the obtained briquettes at temperature of 520–900 °C, binder used is bran, which is mixed with coal and water at the following ratio of components, wt.%: bran 4–30, water 10–30, coal — the rest, prepared mixture is pressed into briquettes at temperature 60–160 °C and pressure of 10–300 MPa, dried at temperature of 20–110 °C, then carbonized.
EFFECT: obtaining carbon-containing briquettes from non-caking coal.
