FIELD: oil, gas and coke-chemical industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of oil and gas transportation via pipelines and is intended for detection and localization of asphalt-resinous, paraffin and other deposits in the pipeline, as well as dents and constrictions in it. Method for determining the places of asphalt, paraffin and other deposits in the pipeline, as well as dents and constrictions in it, consists in moving a cleaning device with an electronic device installed in it inside the pipeline. Electronic device measures and records the pressure of the pumped product P1 before the cleaning device and pressure P2 after it (behind the cleaning device) with the specified discreteness with reference of these values to the specific geographical coordinates of the pipeline. After the cleaning device with the electronic device is run through the pipeline and removed from it, data are rewritten from the device memory into the personal computer and the pumped product P1 pressure curves are plotted before the cleaning device, pressure P2 after it, as well as differential pressure ΔP = P2-P1. According to peak changes of pressure amplitude P1 before cleaning device and pressure P2 after it, as well as differential pressure ΔP = P2-P1, as well as by simultaneous change (increase) of pressure P1 before the cleaning device and pressure P2 after it, a conclusion is made on places of asphalt-resinous, paraffin and other deposits in the pipeline, as well as dents and constrictions in it.
EFFECT: high accuracy of determining places of asphalt-resinous, paraffin and other deposits in a pipeline, as well as dents and constrictions in it along its entire length with their referencing to specific geographic coordinates.
