FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of medicine, namely dentistry and orthodontics, and can be used to eliminate the narrowing and deformation of the upper jaw in the frontal plane in patients with dental anomalies without surgical intervention. To do this, after examining the patient by conducting cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) of the skull, a treatment plan is drawn up. Then a digital intraoral scan of the dentition is performed to obtain digital models. The data of the CBCT study is superimposed on a digital model of the upper jaw. A surgical navigation template is modeled and manufactured, orthodontic mini-screws are installed in the oral cavity using a surgical navigation template, a repeated digital scan of the upper jaw is performed and the optimal design of an expanding hybrid orthodontic device with fixation on teeth and skeletal support on 2 or 4 orthodontic mini-screws is planned. After determining the design of the device, the data is sent to the laboratory for its manufacture by laser sintering. The fixation of the monolithic expanding apparatus to the orthodontic mini screws is carried out with the help of glass ionomer cement. A monolithic hybrid orthodontic device contains a base with an expanding screw installed in it and fasteners extending from it in the form of protrusions, at the ends of which transgingival supports for mini screws are made.
EFFECT: group of inventions provides a reduction in the frequency of side effects as a result of the expansion of the upper jaw in adult patients and the effectiveness of treatment, by improving the design of the expanding apparatus with an intraosseous support, minimizing the risk of complications associated with the treatment of patients with this pathology, due to the high stability of the apparatus and high accuracy of its fit in the oral cavity, as well as the exclusion of possible errors, due to the absence of the need to take impressions from the jaws.
