SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biology and medicine, namely to laboratory research methods. The method for determining the indicator of externalization of phosphatidylserine to the surface of erythrocyte membranes includes fixing erythrocytes with glutaraldehyde for 30 minutes. Then they are washed once with buffered saline with pH 7.4, centrifuged at 3000 rpm for 5 minutes. Lanthanum chloride is added at a final concentration of 15-25 mcM, mixed. Aggregates of erythrocytes are placed in the field of view of a light microscope x200. Using a digital camera, an image is obtained, which is processed and analyzed using computer vision algorithms. The index of externalization of phosphatidylserine to the surface of erythrocyte membranes is defined as the ratio of the area of ​​aggregated to the area of ​​non-aggregated cells.

EFFECT: invention provides automation of the method for determining the degree of externalization of phosphatidylserine to the surface of erythrocyte membranes, which increases the accuracy of assessing their aggregation.
