SUBSTANCE: inventions can be used for neutralising or decreasing toxic level of waste gases generated during operation. Manufacturing method of the element meant for neutralising or decreasing toxic level of waste gases and having a number of metal layers formed by the load-carrying structure with filtering material and provided with supporting elements that are located in the channel or a fold consists in the fact that layers are brought into contact with each other in connection area, and are connected to each other by means of seam welding so that they form the channels that are at least partially flowing for waste gas flow. When performing the welding, feed rate is 0.5 to 30 m/min, and electrodes apply the force to the layers during welding process, which is 200N to 6kN, so that supporting elements are attached by means of seam welding to the layer, and layers are attached to each other. There described is an example of the structure of element for neutralising or decreasing toxic level of waste gases, which is used in automobile engineering mainly as filter or catalytic converter carriers.
