FIELD: production.
SUBSTANCE: ensuring efficient venting of gases from especially large housings without excessive increasing of the area of the opening(s) in the housing walls and without excessive weakening of the housing. The housing (11) has a pressure relief element (20) made in the form of a tubular element and extending through the internal space (15) of the housing (11). The housing for accommodating elements that can form sources of initiation of an explosion, and the housing is suitable for use in an explosive environment. The pressure relief element (20) is connected by at least one end (21), preferably by its both ends (22), to the wall sections (18, 19), so that its flow channel is located on the same line with the pressure relief holes (16, 17).
EFFECT: manufacture of thin-walled and therefore light explosion-proof housings (11).
