SUBSTANCE: invention relates to pharmacology, namely to drugs containing peptides and compositions based on them, as well as methods for the prevention and/or treatment of disorders of the nervous system. It is proposed to use the peptide γ-glutamyl-alanine of the formula H-Glu(Ala)-OH as a means of stimulating the proliferation of cells of the nervous tissue and differentiation of neurons, having neurostimulating and neuroprotective activity, as well as restoring the ability to learn and form memory. Also proposed is a method for the prevention and/or treatment of the nervous system in neurodegenerative pathologies, which require stimulation of reparative processes in brain tissues and regeneration of neurons, which consists in the introduction of γ-glutamyl-alanine.
