FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: method for automatic coordinate detection of fire centres serves to calculate and determine two-dimensional coordinates of fire centres on a protected area. To implement the method, at least two flame detectors installed in different places are used, which scan with the possibility of each detector to determine the angular coordinate of the fire source; detectors are connected through an interface to an automated workstation of an operator equipped with a computer with installed software. Algorithm of operation of the method is built on the principle of sequence of reading from each detector of the state of operation, determining conditional serial numbers of sectors of the survey, in which a focus is detected, and making a decision based on the area of intersection of sectors by means of a program and a computer at the operator’s workstation, wherein two-dimensional coordinates of the detected fire source are automatically calculated.

EFFECT: disclosed is a method for automatic coordinate detection of fires.
