FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to traumatology and orthopedics, and can be used for surgical treatment of a fracture of the distal end of the humerus of type A2, periarticular metaphysical fracture according to the AO/ASIF classification. Osteosynthesis of the fracture of the condyles of the humerus is carried out with an extra cortical plate and screws. The fracture is additionally fixed with an 8-shaped wire loop drawn from the cap of the cortical screw through the cap of the condylar screw, installed respectively in the proximal and distal fragment along the ulnar surface of the humerus.
EFFECT: method provides the possibility of reliable fixation of the fracture with a plate, as well as reducing the risk of migration of the metal structure in the postoperative period, even with a small distal fragment of the fracture due to the additional use of screws with a wire loop.
