FIELD: railway transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to on-board means for reading traffic signals in railway transport. The device contains at least one optical unit, including an optical system and a complex color sensor for recognizing the light flux color spectrum and installed in the driver's cab or on the outer surface of the train locomotive body in a box protected from external climatic factors, and a processing unit. The optical system includes a hood, a slit optical receiver configured to form a beam of light waves, a collimator lens, and a spectral prism or diffraction grating. The complex color sensor consists of a line of photosensitive sensors and is located in such a way that the light strip from the spectral prism or diffraction grating illuminates the line of photosensitive sensors. The processing unit is configured to analyze the spectrum of the color of the light flux, selected by photosensitive sensors, using the estimated delta-like function to highlight the predominant color of the light flux and determine the area of coordinates of the color locus, characteristic of the corresponding color of the traffic signal, by superimposing the color coordinates of the selected color on the color locus, generating and transmitting an information message to notify the driver when the coordinates of the color locus area correspond to the area of coordinates of the color of the prohibiting traffic light signal.
EFFECT: increased reliability of reading a prohibiting signal of a traffic light in railway transport.
