FIELD: food industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of waffle semi-casings. Method of making semi-shells (4) involves making waffle sheet (2) containing a plurality of semi-shells (4) connected to each other by connecting wall (6). Connection wall (6) is connected to each semi-shell by means of annular section (14) surrounding the semi-shell. Method also includes separation of half-shells from connecting wall (6) along cutting profile in annular section (14). During separation, connecting wall (6) rests on base (20) made of plastic material. Operation of separation is carried out by means of cutting element (32) having toothed cutting profile (34).
EFFECT: use of the invention will make it possible to improve the quality of the finished product.
