FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to lifting electromagnets used for gripping and holding cargoes from ferromagnetic materials during handling operations. Lifting electromagnet comprises magnetic conductor with inner and two outer poles, coil connected to power supply and made of insulated wire, as well as filling compound. Magnet additionally contains an internal pole placed in an additionally introduced coil similar to the first one, which is connected to a power source. Two inner poles with coils and two outer poles are located symmetrically to each other relative to the vertical plane dividing the lifting electromagnet in half.
EFFECT: expansion of functionality is achieved with an increase in the carrying capacity per unit mass of the lifting device, increase in the depth of penetration of the magnetic field into the transported cargo.
