FIELD: aircraft engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aircraft construction and wind power, where polymer composite materials are used, which during operation require protection from direct lightning strikes. The mesh fabric for the lightning-resistant coating of the polymer composite is made of a knitted weave of a single copper wire coated with solder, while using a low-melting tin-based solder containing, wt. %: 3.0 – 5.0 silver and copper 0.5 - 1.0. Moreover, the average specific circular surface electrical resistance of the grid is 2.0-3.3 mOhm. In addition, the angle of copper wetting with solder at 250°C is 22.5°, and the diameter of a single copper wire is 0.08-0.12 mm.
EFFECT: preventing the destruction of the composite by effectively evaporating the fusible solder and desoldering the wires of the mesh fabric in the lightning-resistant coating after a lightning strike.
