SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely, to ultrasonic diagnostics, and can be used in assessment of the functional capacity of a venous stent in patients with obstructive lesions of deep veins after venous stenting. For this purpose, ultrasonic examination is conducted on the patient in the supine position. As a first stage, the condition of the stented venous segment is examined in the longitudinal and transverse projections in the B-mode. As a second stage, the condition of the venous stent examined in the CDI mode. As a third stage, distal compression of the limb segment is performed in the mode of spectral Dopplerography. The presence of a phase blood flow synchronised with breathing on the Dopplerogram with an increase in the linear velocity thereof proximal to the stent under distal compression, a positive compression test, indicates the absence of obstructive changes in the lumen of the stent.

EFFECT: method optimises the diagnostic assessment of the condition of a venous stent by creating a specific algorithm for ultrasonic examination of patients with obstructive lesions of deep veins after venous stenting.
