SUBSTANCE: gas-blowing plug for blowing molten metal in a metallurgical tank comprises a ceramic fire-resistant body (10k) and at least one electronic sensor (70, 70.1, 70.2, 70.3, 70.4). The first end (10u) of the plug is at least partially covered with a metal cover (12.1), with a hole (16) for connection with the gas supply branch pipe (20). The second end (10o) of the plug (10) is placed in contact with the molten metal (41). The plug (10) passes the blowing gas, which enters the body through the hole (16) and exits through the second end (10o), through the body. The electronic sensor (70, 70.1, 70.2, 70.3, 70.4) comes into contact with the plug (10) and detects the oscillatory waveform of mechanical vibration, wherein said sensor constitutes an acceleration sensor. The oscillatory waveform enters the data processing unit, wherein an index characterising the size and amount of gas bubbles is calculated, providing a possibility of finding and adjusting the distribution of the entered gas bubbles.
EFFECT: increase in the production reliability of blowing treatment of molten metal and reproducibility of such treatment are ensured.
