FIELD: water treatment.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in the treatment of drinking water, household and industrial wastewater, rain or sea water. A plant for water treatment contains: means (1) for supplying pre-coagulated water to be treated; flocculation-decantation device (11) equipped with means (5) for distributing a flocculating reagent, means (6) for distributing a ballast, and means (20d) for extracting a settled precipitate, means (9) for removing treated water; means (14) for separating the ballast from the precipitate; as well as means (8) for recirculating a purified ballast. Device (11) is made in the form of single vat (12) equipped in the upper part with plates (10), and in the lower part with mixer (13), wherein a distance “d” between plates (10) and mixer (13) is 0.5-3.0 m. The ballast is selected from sand, ilmenite and garnet. Means (14) for separating the ballast include means (15) for pumping air, a pump, and separation device (20) equipped with blade mixer (20a) connected to settling tank (20b). Mixer (13) contains blades (16) mounted on vertical axis (19), cylindrical pipe (17) guiding a flow, static obstacle (18). For the treatment of water in the specified plant, a flocculating reagent, a ballast, and pre-coagulated water are added to vat (12); they are mixed with mixer (13); in the upper part of vat (12), a calm zone is left, contributing to the decantation of formed flakes, treated water and ballasted precipitate are removed; air is pumped into it; the purified ballast is recirculated to van (12), and the settled precipitate is removed.

EFFECT: content of suspended substances, seaweed and organic substances, as well as turbidity and chromaticity are reduced.
