FIELD: storage.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of heat engineering, in particular, use of natural heat. The method for storing hydrocarbon fuels in Arctic conditions is implemented by means of convective heat exchange between the hydrocarbon fuel and the natural environment (sea water). The stored hydrocarbon fuel in an elastic tank is pumped by a pump through a heat exchange apparatus wherein the fuel is heated above the temperature of the operating parameters thereof due to the natural heat sources in the Arctic and then enters the elastic tank according to a cyclic pattern.
EFFECT: maintained fuel storage temperature above the temperature of operating parameters thereof due to convective heat exchange between the hydrocarbon fuel and the natural environment and possibility of use both at stationary and mobile facilities utilising hydrocarbon fuel for producing heat energy in the conditions of the Arctic.
