FIELD: in-reactor control systems.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a means of an in-reactor control system. The device for discrete determination of the level of liquid-metal coolant of a nuclear reactor contains at least one sensitive element placed in the cavity of the protective cover, and an electronic unit. The sensing element contains at least one reference coil and one measuring coil located respectively in the upper and lower parts of the cavity of the protective cover and containing the excitation winding and the measuring winding. At least one temperature-sensitive element is placed in the cavity of the protective cover. The measuring windings of the coils are made with oppositely directed windings and are connected to each other in series. The electronic unit contains a signal generator connected to the excitation windings connected in series, a controller and analog-to-digital converters connected to its inputs, which are connected to the thermoelectric converter and to the measuring windings of the inductive coils.
EFFECT: exclusion of a temperature error that negatively affects the measurement accuracy and is associated with the temperature elongation of the protective cover with sensitive elements and with the temperature elongation of the nuclear reactor vessel, which cause the displacement of the inductive coils relative to the controlled level.
