SUBSTANCE: hair cutting device comprises a cutting unit with a blade holder and a blade of a protective element. Blade holder holds the cutting blade with cutting teeth. Cutting blade is made with possibility of back-and-forth movement relative to blade of protective element. Blade of the protective element is made with possibility of movement along the blade holder relative to the cutting blade within the range of the length of the security element between the first and second positions of the security element. First position of the protective element corresponds to the shortest hair cutting length of the cutting unit. Second position of the protective element corresponds to the maximum length of cutting the hair of the cutting unit. Blade holder comprises a stop to prevent the blade of the protective element from moving beyond the position of the protective element and beyond the range of the length of the protective element.
