SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of hair clipping devices. Device for hair cutting comprises cutting unit, protective device and drive mechanism. Cutting unit is made with possibility of rotation relative to the housing block of the device for a hairstyle between an open position and the closed position for a hairstyle. Driven element is configured to interact with drive mechanism, so that when cutting unit is in open position with driven member and protective device in first position, and drive mechanism is in second position, rotary movement of cutting unit in closed position forces drive mechanism to drive driven element and protective device to second position. Drive mechanism can interact with the driven element when the cutting unit is in the closed position. Drive mechanism and the driven element have inappropriate positions when the cutting unit is in the open position.
