FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to podology, and can be used to restore the nail. At the first stage, antiseptic treatment of the nail and nail bed is carried out, as well as mechanical removal of nail sections at the place where the nail plate leaves the nail bed and removal of stratum corneum. At the second stage, a 1 ml solution of alpha-hydroxy acid is applied to the nail bed with an applicator and kept for 1 to 2 minutes. In this case, it is permissible to apply the solution three times after 5-7 minutes. The procedure is repeated once every 3-5 days, once every 2 weeks, then once a month until the nail is restored.
EFFECT: method provides reducing the number of recurrences and restoring nail growth and eliminating the occurrence of pain in the patient during the application of procedures due to the mild effect on the nail bed of alpha-hydroxy acid.
