SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a method for combining a set of monofilaments into a bundle, to a head of a paint brush, and to a paint brush. The method for combining a set of monofilaments configured to be used in paint brushes into a bundle includes the stages of assembling a predetermined number of monofilaments into a group of monofilaments so that the monofilaments touch along the entire length, combining the monofilaments at one end of the monofilaments resulting in a smooth end surface, and fusing part of the ends of monofilaments together at the end surface by means of a laser into a combined monofilament bundle. The method additionally includes a stage of fusing said part of the ends of the monofilament bundle to at least part of a polymer insert. The end surface of the polymer insert and part of the ends of the monofilaments together form a smooth end surface of the monofilament bundle.

EFFECT: increase in the safety and reduction in the total time for production of painting brushes.
