FIELD: acoustics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to equipment for sound processing. A virtual loudspeaker is located on the lower side among the sides of a quadrilateral with four loudspeakers provided at the corners thereof, surrounding the target position of the acoustic image on a spherical plane. A three-dimensional VBAP is performed with respect to the virtual loudspeaker and the two loudspeakers located in the upper right corner and the upper left corner in order to calculate the gain coefficients. The gain coefficients are used to fix the acoustic image at the target position of the acoustic image. A two-dimensional VBAP is additionally performed with respect to the loudspeakers located in the lower right and lower left corners in order to calculate the gain coefficients of the loudspeakers located in the lower right and lower left corners for use when fixing the acoustic image at the position of the virtual loudspeaker. The values obtained by multiplying said gain coefficients by the gain coefficient of the virtual loudspeaker are set as the gain coefficients of the loudspeakers located in the lower right and lower left corners in order to fix the acoustic image at the target position of the acoustic image.
EFFECT: provided more stable localisation of an acoustic image.
