FIELD: separation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a device for classifying material in form of particles. A hydrocyclone separator for classifying a solid material in a liquid suspension, comprising: a main part, an inlet pipe configured to supply the suspension to the main part, an overflow outlet pipe located in the main part, a vertex outlet opening, a convergent separating part located between the main part and the apex outlet opening, wherein the tapering separation portion has a proximal end and a distal end, the tapering separation portion tapering towards said distal end, it differs from known designs in that said main part comprises discharge opening arranged in main part separately from overflow discharge pipe.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of classification.
