SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in production of fuel. Particles of a coal-derived solid hydrocarbon are obtained from a coal source containing a composite substance, including a solid matrix and a trapped mineral substance in said matrix. Composite substance is crushed to form matrix particles having approximately the same size as the size of particles of the entrapped mineral substance to release the latter and separate the discrete particles of the matrix. Said coal-derived solid hydrocarbon particles consist of a matrix free from entrapped mineral substance, as determined by scanning electron spectroscopy, and have a size of less than 20 mcm and an average size of 1–8 mcm. Said particles are combined with liquid hydrocarbon, and this combination is in filtration cake, or mixed with hydrocarbon fuel to form two-phase hydrocarbon fuel, or mixed with water to form two-phase liquid fuel, or suspended in air to form two-phase gaseous fuel. Liquid hydrocarbon is selected from kerosene, crude oil, diesel or oil fuel. Hydrocarbon fuel in two-phase hydrocarbon fuel can be liquid or gaseous, selected from natural gas, methane, propane and butane.
EFFECT: during combustion of the obtained fuel, its energy value is preserved and harmful emissions into the environment are not formed.
