SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of pharmaceuticals, namely, to chewing gum in tablet form, suitable for active pharmaceutical ingredients, wherein the chewing gum includes a set of particles including a) directly compressed (DC) sugar alcohol particles, b) non-directly compressed (non-DC) sugar alcohol particles, and c) particles including a gum base, wherein the gum base includes at least 5 wt.% of an elastomer, wherein a) is contained in the same matrix as b), and wherein the chewing gum in tablet form has a mass ratio between said non-DC sugar alcohol particles and said DC sugar alcohol particles between 0.3 and 1.2.
EFFECT: invention provides increased stimulation of salivation and increased release of the active agent.
